SERVING | Mary Peters
When you experience the overwhelming Love of God, and you are brimming with excitement, that is one way that God can lead you, to serve.
This is a natural way to lead from the overflow of your heart. Each one of us has been given a set of gifts, abilities, and skills. Your gift, may not look like those around you. Spend some time, finding the place where you feel you can be of service in your specific gifts and talents. Stepping out of yourself and trusting God, to use you.
These assets, can be used to bless people. There are people with needs all around us. We can be useful in so many situations. Taking the things you know about yourself, and putting them to use, within the church body, and in our community, can be one of the most rewarding things we can do.
Just as Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, we can serve those around us.
Phillipians 2:3-4 “in humility consider others better than yourself. Not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interest of others.”
Let Christ's love compel you to serve. Spending time with Him in his presence and be filled with the love that will cause you to serve wholeheartedly. It's not by accident that we often feel better about ourselves when we are serving and giving. Having a greater purpose, and putting others needs before our own, make us better humans. Often centering us, and giving our minds a better focus.
